We want you to feel at home with our office. On this page you'll find information about Dr. Fortuna. He offers the real-world experience and knowledge you expect from an effective chiropractic practice along with a caring, responsive attitude that will put you at ease.
Dr. Fortuna originally hails from New York City. He attended Brooklyn College, The City University of New York, earning his bachelor's degree in biology in 1994.
Dr. Fortuna went on to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree from the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois in December 2000.
Dr. Fortuna practiced chiropractic medicine, in the Chicago land area for four years before establishing his private practice. During this time he gained valuable, practical experience working along side other fine chiropractic physicians, and medical doctors integrating chiropractic, nutritional therapy and physical rehabilitation, with allopathic medicine. His work experience integrating alternative medicine with conventional medicine is one of the unique skills that will ensure that your care is truly holistic.
Dr. Fortuna established his private practice in Berwyn, Illinois, in 2004. His office is uniquely located within the Pav YMCA health club. This offers his patients access (under the doctors supervision), to a 58,000 square foot facility that houses the fitness center, and the aquatic center. The fitness center has a full spectrum of cardiovascular and strength training equipment. The aquatic center has a six lane, 25 yard heated pool, dry sauna, whirlpool and showers.
What distinguishes Dr. Fortuna the most from other practitioners is that he works with you one on one in every aspect of your care. Whether you need physical therapy in the fitness center or aquatic therapy in the pool, Dr. Fortuna will be with you every step of the way.
If your condition requires medical care Dr. Fortuna will refer you without hesitation to the appropriate medical provider. He will then work with that independent medical provider in establishing a holistic treatment plane for you that integrates chiropractic, nutrition, physical therapy, exercise, and stress management with the appropriate medical care. Dr. Fortuna has a fine working relationship with physicians form Loyola, Rush, MacNeal, Northwestern University Medical Center, La Grange Hospital, and The University of Chicago Medical Centers.
